Trainee Clinical Scientist
Originally from Wakefield in West Yorkshire, Beth completed her BSc in Biomedical Science at the University of Hull in 2016 before going on to achieve a Distinction in her MSc in Clinical Embryology and Assisted Reproduction Technology at the University of Leeds in 2017. Following her application for the Scientist Training Programme nationally, Beth accepted a placement at Salisbury Fertility Centre in 2017 for 3 years of training.
Beth is a pre-registrant embryologist. Her work primarily takes place in the laboratory with the other embryologists and andrologist where the team undertake semen analysis, IVF and other procedures. Beth can also be found in the Day Surgery Unit doing egg collections.
“I like working at Salisbury Fertility Centre because there is a lot of interaction with the patients, we are a smaller unit which gives us the ability to really get to know everybody coming through and see the process from start to finish!”
