Registered Clinical Scientist

Sarah is a fully qualified and registered Clinical Embryologist. After a 4 year university course which included a study year in Vancouver Island, Canada, Sarah graduated from Exeter University in 2012 with a first class BSc (Hons) degree in Biological Sciences.

In 2018 Sarah completed the Scientist Training Programme (STP) specialising in Reproductive Sciences to become a registered embryologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Included in the STP, Sarah also completed a Masters in Cellular Sciences and achieved Distinction. In September 2021 Sarah completed and passed the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) Part 1 written examination.

As an embryologist, Sarah is involved in all of the routine embryology procedures including ICSI, IVF, freezing and thawing gametes and embryos, grading embryos, collecting eggs, preparing sperm for treatment, IUIs, embryo transfers, and many other laboratory procedures.

She has regular contact with patients throughout their treatment cycles which ensures each patient feels supported throughout their journey.
