Scarlett Salter

BSc (Hons) in Human Sciences, MSc in Prenatal Genetics & Fetal Medicine, ICSI Practitioner

Interim Laboratory Manager, Senior Clinical Scientist

Scarlett, an experienced embryologist, made the transition to Salisbury Fertility Centre after her tenure at CARE Fertility, Bath. Her journey in this field began with training in Coventry back in 2012, following her undergraduate and master’s degrees from University College London. Delving further into her passion, she pursued a PhD in Medical Sciences at Warwick University, focusing on how embryos interact with the uterus during implantation.

Since joining Salisbury Fertility Centre in 2023, Scarlett has taken on the responsibility of overseeing the cryostorage facility and has been actively involved in clinic-wide improvements. As part of the ‘Improving Together’ initiative, she collaborates to update existing systems and transition towards a more sustainable, ‘paper-light’ approach.

Scarlett is deeply committed to training and developing staff, ensuring the team remains motivated and well-supported. Scarlett felt a pull back to clinical work due to her profound connection with patients. Working directly with people brings her a great sense of fulfilment, and she is unwavering in her commitment to treating patients with the utmost respect and dignity.

“The team here at Salisbury are extremely open, kind and supportive. Every member of staff is valued and included. I am passionate about working for an organisation that prioritises staff and patient wellbeing.”
